Jingle writing

Postby MusicMaker on Wed Oct 14, 2009 7:07 pm

I've been out of the music scene for a while, but when I was still active I wrote a jingle for a local business. I basically went around store to store without a demo until someone showed interest and bought an ad jingle from me. And it paid good moeny. I charged about $1000 back in '90.

What I'm wondering is, if I wanted to do this again, how should I go about it? That was a long shot, but knowing what I know now if I were a business there is no way I'd be spending my hard earned dollars on a jingle from someone without a demo. Is there a way to get past that?

Also, I haven't been keeping up with recording and the new sound. Can I still write jingles and record at home or should I be looking at a studio?

Any help with jingle writing would be appreciated too.
